Co．，Ltd．（SPTD），a member of Shanghai Electric Group Co．，Ltd．（SEC），Specialized
in manufacturing of power transmission & distribution equipment
and high voltage & low voltage electric apparatus，is one of the
largest production bases of power transmission & distribution
equipment in China．
The predecessor of SPTDC is Shanghai Electric Apparatus Company
founded in 1950’s．After more than 50 years development，up to now,
SPTDC owns over 20 large and medium state-owned enterprises and
joint ventures with world-prominent companies such as Siemens，ABB，Schneider,
Panasonic，etc．SPTD has already become an enterprise group with
scientific research，production，management and international trade．In
1992，approved by the State Council，SPTD was listed as a first-class
national large state-owned enterprise and obtained the certificate
for the import and export trade．As a listed company in Shanghai
Stock Exchange since 1993，SPTD has been evaluated as one of the
top 500 industrial enterprises in China for many years．And，it
is also the No．1 of the top 100 enterprises in manufacturing of
electric apparatus，machinery and materials．In 1996，with the approval
of one committee and two ministries under the state council，SPTD
was qualified as the first-level complete setting unit of mechanical
and electrical equipment． 1n 2003，SPTD got of IS09001-2000 registration
and was sanctioned by the government of Shanghai as the new high-tech
enterprise．The registered capital of SPTD is 0．51 billion yuan．
Depending on numerous well-known brands of the factories under
SPTD，supported by imported advanced foreign technology and high
level products manufactured in Sino-foreign joint ventures and
cooperative ventures，SPTD has invested to set up many joint ventures
together with Siemens，ABB，CPS，Schneider, AREVA，Trench and Panasonic
and Fujikura Ltd．In recent years．The company is introducing up-to-date
technology and products constantly. Technical research & development
center and test center were founded by SPTD has developed and
produced a large quantities of digital intellectualized new products．The
products cover all of the power transmission and distribution
fields of 500kV and under, including high level
equipment such as wires & cables， power transformers，current and
voltage transformers，breakers of high voltage，medium voltage and
low voltage，isolators，capacitor voltage transformers，power capacitor,
reactor & lightning arresters，SF6 GIS，intelligent high voltage
& low voltage switch gears，tank power stations，overload protective
devices，and automatic control systems，etc．Major products handled
by SPTD have international certification and meet the requirements
of IEC，BS，GB and DL technical standards，reached or up to the world
advanced level．SPTD has the great capacity of providing all kinds
of electric
products and large-scale complete set of power transmission &
distribution equipment for the project of power generation，power
transmission & distribution，water conservancy urban railways，airports
& wharfs，posts &telecommunications，textile industry, petrochemical
